1.💰 Lucky Counting with Gold Coins! ☘️
10 Minutes
Supplies Needed:
1. Number Posters (Download them below)
2. Gold coins to place on numbers
3. "Pots" of gold
I purchase "gold" coins and pots of gold at the Dollar Store. You can use other items in place of the gold coins and pots of gold like BINGO chips and black paper cups, for example.)
Tell your students to get ready to count like little leprechauns! You'll use gold coins to help us count to 10 (and maybe even 20!) in Spanish! ✨ Before class: Place 20 gold coins in your magical pot of gold. 🌈💰
🎶 Step 1: Count to 10!
-
First model the activity for your students:
-
Play the Numbers 1-10 audio track below.
-
As you count uno, dos, tres along with the audio track... pull 10 gold coins out of the pot and place them on numbers 1-10 on the poster. You have to go quickly to keep up with the the counting on the audio track.
-
Play the track again but this time take the gold coins off of the numbers 1-10 poster while counting and put them back in the black pot.
-
Next let your students take a turn. If you have a bigger class, print extra number posters so more kids can join in the fun! Repeat several times as your kids will LOVE this activity!
🎶 Step 2: Count to 20! (For your counting superstars!)
-
Ready for a challenge? Play the Number 11-20 audio track below and keep counting to 20!
-
Pull 10 coins out of the pot and place them on numbers 11-20.
-
Let students take turns placing the coins as the whole class counts.
-
Give high-fives all around! 🙌 And don’t forget to cheer them on in Spanish:
-
“¡Excelente!”
-
"¡Muy bien!"
-
“¡Eres inteligente!”
-

2. Coloring Sheet: 10 Minutes
Check out this super cool coloring page for your little learners! Not only will they jazz up a rainbow, but they'll also brush up on numbers and colors in Spanish. Who doesn't go bananas for rainbows, right? Once they're done, make sure to send these masterpieces home so the kiddos can show off their Spanish skills to their folks!

Supplies Needed:
1. St. Patrick's Day Poster (Download it Below)
2. A variety of stickers, if possible St. Patrick's Day stickers

The digital lesson you just tuned into not only unveiled the secret to saying "Happy Saint Patrick's Day" in Spanish but also spilled the beans on the delightful game "Hot Sticker" (Pegatina Caliente) paired with a catchy tune. Ready to rock the song and game with your students? Grab the song lyrics visual and hit play on the audio file below.
