March Week 4: Easy Review Activities
Hola DSA Teachers!
Below are two engaging activities to help you review the digital lesson with your students. These review exercises are optional, so if you're short on time, don't fret! Simply showing your students the digital lesson will still make you the Spanish master!
You will practice:
1. House: 00:00-3:16
2. Clean Up: 3:17-5:25

1. Furnish the Rooms in House: 10 Minutes!
Supplies Needed: A copy of the rooms and furniture visuals
Let's uncover the hidden interior designers in your class! Challenge your students to jazz up rooms with fun furniture. Simply download the images and flashcards provided, give them a laminate makeover if possible, and snip the furniture into individual pieces. Then, watch the magic happen as your students match each piece to the right room using the given sentences. It's a room-revamp party, and you're the master of ceremonies! Here is the language you can use to carry out this activity in Spanish:
Put __________ in ____________.
Pon __________en ___________.
Pronunciation: (Pohn ____________ en ______________.)
Examples:
Put the sofa in the living room. Put the refrigerator in the kitchen.
Pon el sofá en la sala. Pon la nevera en la cocina.
Pronunciation: (Pohn ehl soh-fah en lah sah-lah.). (Pohn lah neh-beh-dah en lah koh-see-nah.)
After engaging in this enjoyable activity multiple times, they should no longer require your assistance. In fact, you could appoint one of your students to instruct their peers on where to place the furniture. To add a touch of humor and assess their listening skills, ask them to place furniture in unconventional rooms. For instance, you could say, "Put the toilet in the living room" ("Pon el indoro en la sala") (Pronunciation: Pohn ehl ee-noh-doh-doh en lah sah-lah). They might give you a puzzled look or a chuckle, but if they actually move the toilet to the living room, you'll know they understood you in Spanish!
