1. washing your hands: (15 minutes)
We love helping kids develop healthy habits, and washing hands is one of the most important! 🧼✨ We encourage children to wash their hands several times a day—and now, they can do it in Spanish! 🇪🇸
These simple, everyday phrases are perfect for the classroom and at home. Learn them together, and soon you’ll be saying "¡Vamos a lavarnos las manos!" instead of just "Let’s wash our hands!" 🙌🖐. Let the hand-washing adventures begin—*en español*! 🎉 When you are ready, play the audio file: "Wash Your Hands" and act out and sing the song together as a class.

Next, you get to sing the song along with a Mom or Dad who sing the song "Wash Your Hands" to a rappy tune that will surely captivate your student's interest and attention. Let your students choose who they want to listen to and sing along with first. Below are the song lyrics, the same as you learned them above.
a poster for your classroom or home!
Download, print, and laminate this poster and hang it next to the sink to remind everyone to sing the song whey they are washing their hands. This also will bring you one step closer to becoming a bilingual classroom!
Coloring SheetS: 10 minutes each
|
Your students can practice numbers and holidays in December with this coloring sheet. These dates are talked about in the video lesson:
Christmas: December 25 Kwaanza: Begins December 26 Hannukah: Begins on a different date every year New Year's Eve: December 31 |
Your students will enjoy coloring the mittens while learning or reviewing colors in Spanish! Encourage them to say or even sing the colors out loud in Spanish as they color. Print off as many copies as you need for your classroom. Enjoy!

Share Your Wins!
Every time we get your WINS AND SUCCESSES in our inbox, we can’t help but do a little happy dance — to "Don't Stop Believing" or "La Bamba" of course! Why? Because success doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Your wins are our wins, and they’re proof for others that when you do the work, you get results.
Whether your students are finally beginning to repeat or sing in Spanish along with the online videos, or say random words in Spanish throughout the day, or teachers are feeling more confident carrying out the follow-up activities, or parents are sharing that their child is saying words in Spanish at home — we want to hear your wins BIG and small!
Celebrating you always,
Theresa & Team HOLA
